Preventative Health
Whether you are looking to maintain good health, manage existing conditions, or simply gain peace of mind, our preventative health assessment is designed with your total well-being in mind. This comprehensive assessment is tailored to uncover risks for cardiovascular conditions, liver/gallbladder disorders, diabetes or age-related conditions and allows for early intervention before they become significant issues.

During our first visit we will:
Complete a comprehensive review of your health history, including your family's medical history, identifying any hereditary predispositions to various types of disease
Review of lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity levels, stress management practices, sleep quality, alcohol, caffeine and tobacco use, and environmental exposures
Review of any current symptoms
Perform a thorough head-to-toe physical examination
Perform an InBody 570 Scan to assess body fat, water content, and muscle distribution in your body. This assessment will also give us insight into visceral fat (fat stored around the organs) which presents a significant risk factor for overall health, stroke and heart disease
-
Based on findings from your initial consultation, we will request further evaluation through a variety of diagnostic testing.
Examples include:
Full blood panel for overall health including a complete blood count, electrolytes, liver, gallbladder and kidney function, nutritional markers
Specialized blood tests assessing your heart health, thyroid function, hormone levels, diabetes risk, and cholesterol levels
Urinalysis
Electrocardiogram (ECG) to screen for heart conditions
Proactive whole body MRI scan, coronary CT scan (additional fees apply)
Imaging such as dedicated ultrasound, bone density scan, ultrasound elastography, and others
-
Once we receive all of your results, we will develop a personalized health plan that includes:
A thorough impression of your health status and health risk
A review of all of your testing results
Recommendations for further testing (if needed)
Referral to specialists (if needed)
An outline of recommended preventative measures and lifestyle changes
Treatment for identified nutritional deficiencies

Please note that some tests may incur additional fees. OHIP coverage varies based on your individual risk level, and we can provide more details during your consultation.
